Sotheby Shedeck joined TAM in October 2023.  Her practice focuses on defense of workers compensation claims on behalf of employers, and the defense of general liability claims for businesses and common carriers. 

Prior to joining TAM, Sotheby served as an extern at several energy companies, focusing on regulatory compliance and EPA rulemaking advocacy. She also interned at civil litigation firms in both Oklahoma and Texas.

Sotheby earned her bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in accounting from Oklahoma State University. She was recognized as a Top 5 Finance Senior and graduated with an Honors College Degree, the highest academic distinction awarded at OSU.

She then earned her law degree at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she graduated with Highest Honors and obtained a Sustainable Energy & Resources Law Concentration. While in law school, Sotheby served as the Student Editor-in-Chief of the Energy Law Journal.

Her case note, A Clarification on FERC’s Discretion in Finding Just And Reasonable Rates in the Electricity Market: Public Citizen, Inc. v. FERC, was published in Volume 44, No. 1 of the Energy Law Journal in the spring of 2023.

Sotheby is licensed in Colorado state courts.
