Chayla A. Witherspoon
Chayla “Chay” Witherspoon joined TAM in October 2022. Her practice focuses on defense of general liability claims for businesses and common carriers, as well as professional liability.
Prior to joining TAM, Chay served as an extern with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor, assisting with agency and tribal matters. Chay also served as an extern to several energy companies involving oil exploration and extraction operations, regulatory compliance, OSHA matters, and EPA rulemaking advocacy.
Before she shifted her career to law, Chay spent years as a Buyer for an upscale national department store chain. In that role she utilized statistics and financial data to create financial plans for several departments, covering more than 25 vendors with distribution to more than 75 stores. She was also responsible for growing seven-figure sales volume.
Chay earned her bachelor’s degree in science from Oklahoma State University. She then earned her law degree at the University of Tulsa College of Law.
Chay is licensed in the state and federal district courts for Colorado.
